Taylors Maternity Photo shoot
This couple has a special place in my heart.
Jake is my nephew and Taylor is his sweetheart.
Taylor is 39 weeks at the time of this photo shoot.
I happily drove from Longview, WA down to meet them
in Newberg, OR for this special maternity photo shoot.
The Location Champoeg State Heritage Area
Taylor had made an on-line request to her friends and family asking
where a great outdoor location would be in the area for photos.
That request led us to pick Champoeg state park as our shoot location.
Rain Rain Stay Away
As I drove down that day all I could do was pray for there to not be rain.
The good Lord must have heard me and we didn’t get rained on.
It did sprinkle on the way to the park and on the way home but we stayed dry.
We were all very thankful that the rain had not ruined our photo shoot plans.
In all reality I would have had them under trees and use an umbrella had it rained.
She was too far along to reschedule with me living almost two hours North.
Before we made it to the park I stopped alongside the road at an orchard.
I loved how the lines the trees made led straight to Taylor and Jake.
The Photo shoot
We started off near a flooded part of the park.
We got to enjoy some really great colors on the trees.
There was an open field of grass that gave us some nice variety.
We ended our photo shoot down by the river and it was amazing.
The fog had set in and it was just dreamy. I couldn’t get enough of the look the fog gave us.
This was our second to last photo.
The grass was wet so we knew it would be our last chance.
We had just walked up the stairs from the dock and I knew we had to use this spot.
I love my job and I love photographing people.
Being hired by family is always a good feeling.
I try to have fun with my photo shoots and for years now
I have been taking photos with my clients at the end of our shoot.
Here is our last shot from this maternity photo shoot.
I just laid my camera in the grass and turned on the timer.
Love it!
Motherhood can be scary but it is one of the most amazing times of a woman’s life.
Capturing a pregnant woman with her growing belly is part of why I love my job.
Cherish these times. The swollen feet, the need to pee all the time, the hunger, the sleepless nights as it is all
worth it in the end when your baby is in your arms and the first time they smile, laugh and say mama.
