Monticello Pizzeria
So we have driven past the Monticello Pizzeria at least 100 times since it opened up. Tonight we finally had a chance to check it out.
Taken with I-phone X
The Monticello Pizzeria is located on the bottom right hand corner of the historic Monticello hotel. This is what you see when you walk in the front door. You walk up to the counter to order your pizza. There is only one size of pizza to order and prices start at $8.50 for a cheese or pepperoni pizza.
You can see a worker cleaning out the pizza oven that was made just for this space.
The upper dining area has cute little tables, a beautiful fireplace and a lot of artwork by Cheryl Hicks who lives in the building. There are a couple pieces of art that are questionable for a family atmosphere in the main dining area but the rest are really neat.
The pizza seems small compared to what we are used to getting for the same price. The crust is thin but the overall taste is good. I just wish you got more for your money.

Here you can see what beer they have to offer along with some Teavana teas and an assortment of sparkling waters.
It appears they have a salad bar available but I did not see any signs for it or anything about it on the menu. Perhaps it is only during lunch time hours.
My Final Thoughts
My overall take on the Monticello Pizzeria in Longview, WA is that if you like a thin crust pizza with a quiet atmosphere this place is for you. If you like to feel as though you got your monies worth and enjoy a lot of choices and appetizers then find a different place to eat.
I love Papa Petes for special times, Win Co pizza for anytime and Pizza Hut for a family outing.
Have you tried out the Monticello Pizzeria yet?
What were your thoughts about it?
If not do you have plans to go check it out?
Let me know in the comments what your favorite type of pizza is.
While you are here check out Mike and Amy’s wedding I shot here at the Monticello Hotel back in September of 2009.
