Life in 52 – New Studio

Most people doing this project are probably only posting one photo a week.

I just can’t seem to do that little amount hahahha. If I am going to push myself

to take photos with my big Canon DSLR then I am going to show them!

The first photos are of our trip to Lloyd Center mall in Portland, OR. The light was so perfect out in the garage area. I had to stop and get some photos really fast. Then we walked inside and the girls just loved what they saw. Kiana got up close to the rail but got a little scared due to the heights. I know how she feels as I also do not like heights.

The next set of photos are of my new Kelso, WA portrait studio space. I am really excited to have another studio space to take indoor portraits. These are the before pics. Before cleaning the carpet and painting everything bright white. I wanted to check out how the light looked so I took a selfie with my remote control. Love it but can not wait to see how it turns out once all pretty!

Below those you will see my youngest son Zeke who has Autism and is in special education classes at school. This is him in his little work area. We had gone to his school for an IEP meeting and decided to see how he was doing in class. There was only 30 minutes left of the school day so we dropped in. He was having some free time and watching a show on an i-pad. I poked my head around the corner and he didn’t notice. Then his teacher said look who is here and he looked up and saw us. He quickly put the i-pad down and went over and put on his coat and backpack. hahhahahahha. Then he said Home please and was ready to go. How can you say no to that? We took him home. 😉

The last photo is of my daughter and her friends laughing and talking in her room. I love capturing moments like that.

Another goal of mine this year is to edit my personal photos as I take them. Previous years I have just edited one or two and let the others just sit on the hard drive unseen. I plan on changing that this year. Do you have a goal?
