Day of the Dead Themed Wedding
Today I witnessed a pair of best friends get married. Nick and Mary have been together for many years. Today is their anniversary and now their wedding day as well. I knew this was a fun couple the moment they said they planned on having a Day of the Dead wedding. The plan was to get married on their yacht but because we live in Washington state that didn’t go as planned. It rained and then it rained more all evening long. Plan B was to get married inside the Longview Yacht club, club house so everyone could be dry and warm. Everything worked out beautifully in the end.
In between rain spells we got some fantastic outdoor portraits of them in their day of the dead wedding themed outfits.
After the ceremony finished it was time to eat. Let me tell you there was no shortage of food in this place. They had a taco bar…need I say more? Haha they even had a chocolate fountain with lots of goodies to dip into it. Our local chocolatier at The Original Kristies made some very tasty salted caramel goodies for all to enjoy.
The night ended with lots of pictures at the photo booth and even more dancing.
We tried to get a few shots out in the rain on the yacht but it was chilly, wet and the rain kept making it blurry and hard to focus. I am glad we tried though.
Congratulations guys I wish you a lifetime of memories together.
